whole bunch of nothin'

i'm really not full of things to talk about specifically, but i have thoughts all the time like, "i should write about this on my blog" and then i go to write about them and it's just boring. so i thought i would share all of these random little topics with you :)

1.) at the gym yesterday - which in itself is an annoying thing, simply because i'm in my "i hate working out" mindset right now - and what's on all the TV's? the FOOD NETWORK. specifically, Paula Deen. now...come on. who's brilliant idea was this to have us watching the Queen of Butter herself while we're bustin' butt to lose the repercussions of said butter??

2.) i know i probably talk about this a million times more than anybody cares to hear, but i'll tell you what....it is freaking cold here. every morning going out to my car is painful, and i always feel so awful for my little puppy who has to go out there and walk around in it. however, nothing is worse than going to bed when it's freezing cold (even in my house - did i mention it's probably insulated with something akin to Saran Wrap?) so, every time i go to bed, i follow the same routine:
  • lotion, lotion, lotion. dry skin is icky and even can be painful if it starts to split under your nails. i found a lotion by J.R Watkins - lemon cream - and its heavenly and thick and only $8.
  • leggings. i sleep in these every single night. i have a pair of soft wooly ones, and they keep you so, so warm.
  • a 'corn pillow', as i call it. you know, one of those little pillows you put in the microwave for 45 seconds? i put mine in for 3 minutes.
3.) i wish i could have a blog that commented on other's peoples blogs. sometimes i read some stuff that i'm like, "WHAT??" and want to tell someone about it. i'm too nice, though.

4.) beau - my puppy - cannot jump on things. this is probably a good thing cause i think i would have a heart attack if he was ever to jump on my couch or anything. but sometimes i let him lay on my bed while i'm reading, and he literally cannot jump up on anything. i don't think he's put 2 and 2 together that you have to move your legs to get where you want...it's kind of a pitiful thing to watch.

alright, that's all i got for ya's....hope everyone's weekend is coming quickly!

Hey Seanna! So good to hear from you =) Thank you for stopping by my blog. I must admit I was inspired to start writing after following your blog, chronicling your travels.

I can't believe how cold it is. Some days I think, why the heck do I live here? We must be crazy, right?

Well I can’t wait to open blogger and see a post about you getting engaged! I have a feeling it will happen soon.

Take care and stay warm!

Oh my goodness, I remember what it was like sleeping in a cold, cold room! Remember the house we lived in didn't have heat in the basement, so Claire and I were sleeping in 50 degree temperature! Oh it was miserable! Hard to get to sleep when you're cold to the core! But I like what you've done to stay warm!

I hear ya about the cold, I grew up here in the north and I still hate it! I will never get used to 8 inches of snow and minus temps! I have about 5 blankets and a heater in our room, poor DH, he sweats to death! And I love my little "corn pillow" do you use it as a foot warmer or something?

My puppy doesn't jump on anything higher than the couch. Which means I have to lift all 25 lbs of her onto the bed and into the car. At least she'll be staying little!

I am so glad that someone else feels the same way about the Food Network being on at the gym - it drives me crazy!!!
